Hannah's Table Talk

Help Preserve Local History & Be Part of the Story

The Hannah B.G. Shaw Home invites residents of Southeastern Massachusetts to participate in Hannah's Table Talk on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at The Shaw Home.

The Shaw Home has been serving Massachusetts' families since February of 1941, touching the lives of its residents, their families, employees, and many other local residents. Did you have a loved one living at The Shaw Home? Did you ever work or volunteer at the Home, or know someone who did? Hannah's Table Talk offers an opportunity for community members with ties to The Shaw Home to come together to celebrate and remember the past through the sharing of their stories.

Kristine Donnelly, Administrator of The Shaw Home, enthusiastically expresses, "Hannah's Table Talk opens the doors to people within the community to share their individual stories about The Shaw Home. These stories comprise not only the Home's history, but also the history of the individuals associated with it. This is a history we would like to preserve for generations to come."

However, Hannah's Table Talk won't only be serving up great conversation to commemorate The Shaw Home's benefactress who was the heiress to the Boston Fruit Company (now Chiquita Company), sliced banana bread and coffee will also be served fresh from Hannah's very own kitchen.

A member of the local Municipal & Public Access Channel (MCCAM) will be attending to record this event. The footage will then be featured on The Shaw Home website (http://theshawhome.org/) for attendees, residents and the public to watch.

Hannah's Table Talk will be held on the second floor "Activities Room" of The Shaw Home.
