Pumpkin Decorating Party

With the crisp autumn wind and the crunching of leaves under feet, children and families picked their favorite pumpkins at the door and then joined the residents of the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home for a fun filled afternoon of pumpkin decorating and treats.

This event was well attended with approximately 100 participants ranging in age from one year to 100 years old. No matter the age, all enjoyed the festivities and desired to show off their pumpkin decorating talents. Every pumpkin transformed into a work of art.

No party would be complete without treats. The dietary department put together a delicious show of food reminiscent of autumn for all to enjoy including fried dough, homemade pretzels with cheese fondue, fall decorated donuts, and freshly sliced apples with caramel dip. The afternoon wouldn’t be complete without hot chocolate and marshmallows.

“This was so much fun,” remarked Yvonne Wright, “We should do it again next year.”

This event was made possible by our sponsors—Williams Trading Post of Middleborough, Spillane’s Nursery of Middleborough, and The Home Depot of E. Wareham. Thank you for your support and generosity.
