Care Packages To The Troops

Tara Stuart a Thirty-One Consultant for almost 5 years held a fundraiser asking her Thirty-One customers, family and friends to sponsor a Zipper Pouch-Care Package for newly deployed troops. The goal was to have enough sponsors for “31” care packages and once the goal was met she would have the residents from The Shaw Home prepare and fill the care-packages on behalf of the troops. These care packages (Zipper Pouches) included things like playing cards, beef jerky, chewing gum, crosswords and other hygiene essentials. Well the goal was met and in February a number of the Memory Care residents participated in the task of filling these care packages. Tara brought her 5 year old son, Noah, along as well and he had a great time helping out as everyone did. It was nice to see how a community can really come together from all ages and help support our troops overseas. These care-packages are just one way we can honor our newly deployed troops and brighten their day! We would like to thank everyone for their sponsorship. Thank you for making it a successful fundraiser.
