Residential Care
The Hannah B.G. Shaw Home residential care provides basic care and services in a supervised, supportive, and protective living environment for individuals who are having difficulty caring for themselves and who do not require skilled nursing or nursing facility services on a routine basis. The residential care facility’s services and programs seek to foster personal well-being, independence, an optimal level of psycho-social functioning, and integration of residents into community living.
Residential care is a community based health care model providing senior living with assistance. Unlike assisted living, residential care is a medical model, regulated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and provides state financial assistance programs for individuals who qualify. Whether the need is for support in activities of daily living, medication management or socialization, residential care may be the appropriate choice for your loved one.
Services provided under a daily rate include: medication administration, maintenance of health record, coordination of medical needs, assistance with activities of daily living, housekeeping services, laundry services, arranging transportation for medical or social needs and a wide variety of activities for resident stimulation.
